Different Ways to Cleanse Crystals

Palo Santo sticks, Smudge sticks & herbs used to cleanse crystals

There are several different ways to cleanse crystals.

Burying them in the ground

Crystals can be buried in the ground.

Dig a small hole in your garden, put the crystals in the hole, then fill the hole in with the soil you dug out & leave them for twenty four hours.

Moonlight

You can put your crystals on a windowsill at night, so the moon can cleanse & charge them overnight.

Other Crystals

A lot of people say that the crystals used to cleanse other crystals don’t need cleansing & charging themselves, but I disagree.

I know they get rid of negativity, but I feel they need cleansing themselves, to be able to work properly, the same as other crystals.

Amethyst

Put the crystals on a piece of raw amethyst, or next to an amethyst tumble overnight.

To keep the amethyst itself cleansed by putting it in the sun for a few hours.

Carnelian

Put the crystals next to a citrine tumble for twenty four hours.

To keep the carnelian cleansed, put it on a windowsill for a few hours during the day, or overnight.

Citrine

Put the crystals on a piece of raw citrine or next to a citrine tumble for twenty four hours.

To keep the citrine cleansed, put it on a windowsill for a few hours during the day, or overnight.

If the crystals have been left on the windowsill overnight, move them in the morning.

Salt

Put enough salt in the bottom of a bowl to cover it, put the crystals in the bowl & cover them with the salt, leave for twenty four hours.

Make sure you get all the salt off the crystals when you take them out of the bowl & throw the salt away.

Selenite Bowls & Plates

You can use a selenite charging bowl or plate to charger your crystals.

Place the crystals in the bowl or on the plate & leave for twenty four hours to get rid of any negativity.

To keep the selenite clear of any negativity, , put it on a windowsill for a few hours during the day, or overnight, so the moonlight can charge it.

If the crystals have been left on the windowsill overnight, move them in the morning.

Smudging

Incense or smudge sticks can be used to cleanse & charge crystals.

Light the incense stick, gently blow the flame out when the tip of the stick starts to glow.

Sunlight 

One way you can cleanse & charge your crystals is by putting them on a windowsill in the sun for a couple of hours.

Be careful not to leave them there for too long, otherwise they will fade.

Water

Put enough water in a bowl to cover the bottom, put the crystals in the bowl & put enough water in the bowl to cover the crystals, leave for twenty four hours.

Dry all the crystals before putting them away & throw the water away.

Please Note: Some crystals will become toxic, dissolve, or rust if put in water

If you use earth, salt or water to cleanse your crystals, make sure you get all the dirt or salt off the crystals & make sure the crystals are completely dry before putting them away, or using them.
